Cyril SCHIEVER

Cyril Schiever is Senior Vice President and Managing Director of MSD in France since January 2013, successfully leading a $1.4 billion business. He also chairs MSD France council representing all divisions with 7 Human and Animal Health sites (R&D and manufacturing) and over 2,300 employees.

Cyril is a Board member of the LEEM (industry association), he was elected President of the LEEM legal commission in December 2014 and leads as well a working group on the modernization of the healthcare system. He is also Secretary of Agipharm (French association of US pharmaceutical companies).
Cyril is vice-president of the LIR « Imaginons La Santé », a think tank dedicated to studying public health matters.
Prior to his current role, Cyril led Merck subsidiary in Canada. Cyril’s entire career has been international, first with Sanofi, then Schering-Plough and Merck. He held several executive roles in different geographies.
Cyril is a French national and holds an MBA and post-graduate diploma in international business and marketing from the University of Paris-Dauphine.
