Elizabeth DUCOTTET is CEO of Thuasne, an independent and international industrial mid-cap Group. This French industrial family business, created in 1847, manufactures and distributes all over the world medical textile devices. Elizabeth Ducottet is the 5th generation of the family Thuasne leading this Group.
Over the past 25 years, the Group has grown from a French leader into an international leading organization in orthopedics and compression, with a large scale or therapeutic solutions for the musculoskeletal diseases, venous diseases and lymphedema.
With 15 European subsidiaries, a network of exclusive distributors all around the world and the acquisition of two German companies, Zimmermann (1991) and Thämert (2008), and of two American companies, Townsend Design (2011) and Quinn Medical (2016), both based in California, the Thuasne Group has seriously strengthened its foothold on the European and American markets.
Elizabeth Ducottet has been managing the Group since 1991. Her other duties are :
• Co-president of METI (syndicate for French mid-caps).
• Member of the General Council of the Banque de France,
• Member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris.
• Member of the CNI (National council for industry/Conseil national de l’industrie).
• President of the Strategic Orientation Committee of the French Tech/Design Tech of Saint-Etienne.
• Member of the Board in several institutions related to the Paris Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
• President of the Mid-cap-committee of the Medef.
• Elizabeth Ducottet is also a member of the Strategic Steering Committee of Ernst & Young, Member of the board of Universcience, Member of the Fabrique de l’Industrie.
Elizabeth Ducottet is awarded Commandeur in the Ordre National de la Légion d’Honneur (April 2017), in recognition of her achievements both in the Group as well as for the industry in France.
