Head of Anesthesia-Resuscitation Department at Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades (Hospital for sick children) in Paris since 1998, the Professor Pierre Carli was appointed Medical Director of SAMU (medical emergency services) in Paris in 1998.
Chairman of the CMEL (medical committee) of the University Hospital Necker-Enfants Malades since 2004, Vice-Chairman of the Paris Region Hospital Association Emergency services since 2004 and member of the AP-HP CME since 2003.
He has been chairman of the European Resuscitation Council from 1998 to 2001 and of the SFAR (French Society of Anesthesia & Intensive Care Medecine) from 2008 to 2009. He has been Chairman of the French Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Council since 2003 and President of the National Board of Emergency Hospitals since 2009.
A qualified member of the Quadripartite Committee at the Ministry of Health and Interior Ministry, Pierre Carli authored several reports for the Ministry of Health and numerous scientific publications.
