A graduate from Ecole Normale Supérieure, from the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) of Paris and from the National School of Administration (ENA).
He was a senior official in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Member of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, Counselor for Foreign Affairs in the cabinet of Dominique de Villepin at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, then at the Ministry of the Interior and Political Counselor then Director in the office to the Prime Minister, Dominique de Villepin.
Since May 2017, Bruno Lemaire is Minister of Economy and since 2007, Member of Parliament for Eure at the National Assembly.
From 2008 to 2009, he was State Secretary for European Affairs. He was Minister of Agriculture and Food from 2009 to 2012 and from 2010 to 2016, Regional consultant of Haute-Normandie.
