Agnès Pannier-Runacher was appointed Secretary of State to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, in October 2018. Prior to this, she was Deputy Managing Director of the Compagnie des Alpes (2013-2018), a key player in the European leisure sector and world leader in the operation of ski resorts.
Previously, she was Director of a R&D division of Faurecia Interior Systems (automotive outsourcing), executive director and member of the Executive Committee of the Strategic Investment Fund (16 billion euros in assets under management, 1.5 billion euros in investments per year, which became BpiFrance; 2009 2011), assistant director of finance and strategy at the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (Deposits and Consignments Fund) (public financial institution; 2006-2008) and chief of staff of the managing director of the Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris (Public Hospitals of Paris) (budget of 6 billion euros, 93,000 agents; 2003 2006).
She began her career as a finance inspector at the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, where she worked on performance measurement in state administrations, socially responsible investment and financing of social housing.
She is a graduate of HEC and a former student of the National School of Administration (ENA) and has a Master’s degree from CEMS (HEC-University of Cologne).
Furthermore, Agnès Pannier Runacher has been named "Rising Talent" at the Women's Forum 2007 and "young leader" by the France China Foundation in 2017.
