Prior to taking office at the DGOS (Directorate General for Care Provision) in September 2019, Katia Julienne had been managing director of the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS) (French National Authority for Health) since April 2018.
A senior civil administrator, former student of the ENA (National School of Administration) (Nelson Mandela promotion, in 2001), Katia Julienne has held various senior management positions in government circles. From 2001 to 2003, she worked at the Directorate General for Social Action (DGAS, now DGCS(Directorate General for Social Cohesion)) on issues of children with disabilities before joining the Directorate of Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics (DREES) as officer-in-charge to the deputy director in charge of Solidarity Observation Issues.
From June 2004 to June 2007, Katia Julienne was head of the department of social development and training and assistant to the director of human resources at the Georges Pompidou National Centre of Art and Culture. At the end of this term, she was appointed head of the Community and International Affairs Division of the Social Security Directorate (DSS) and deputy director of Health Care System Financing within the same Directorate from 2010 to 2013.
Before joining HAS, Katia Julienne had joined the DGCS successively as head of social and medico-social policies and until 2015 as assistant to the managing director, then the DGOS as service manager and assistant to the managing director until April 2018.
