Guillaume Pourcher, MD, former surgeon of the APHP is a Digestive surgeon at the Institut Mutualiste Montsouris where he is Head of the Obesity care center that he founded in 2016.
Researcher and Teacher at Paris XI University, he is also annual Secretary of the National Academy of Surgery, and National Administrator in charge of prevention of the Groupe Pasteur Mutualité.
Being passionate about healthcare issues, he has always been committed to developing less invasive surgical techniques and decisively ethical.
The stakes about obesity pandemic are, as per him, high and remain taboo.
At the same time, he takes part in the health digital revolution by developing innovative training tools such as virtual reality.
Since his internship, he has been invested in the mutualist spirit which gives him experience in risk management and crisis prevention.
