Nicolas REVEL

Nicolas Revel, former Chief of Staff to former Prime Minister Jean Castex and former Director-General of the Caisse Nationale de l'Assurance Maladie - CNAM, has been Director General of Assistance publique-hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP) since July 5, 2022.
Nicolas Revel was appointed Chief of Staff to former Prime Minister Jean Castex in July 2020, after serving as Director-General of the Cnam and of the Union Nationale des Caisses d'Assurance Maladie (Uncam) since November 2014.
Nicolas Revel is a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies – IEP in Paris and an alumnus of ENA.
He spent part of his career at the French Court of Audit, which he joined upon graduating from ENA. He was first Auditor (1993-1996), then Public Auditor (1996-2010), before being appointed Senior Counsellor in July 2010.
He was seconded as a Secretary-General of the Prefecture of the Hautes-Pyrenées (1997-2000), before joining the cabinets of former agriculture ministers Jean Glavany and François Patriat as a technical advisor (September 2000-May 2002).
From 2003 to 2012, he worked with the Mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë, as Deputy Secretary General of the commune, then Chief of staff (2008-2012).
François Hollande appointed him Assistant Secretary-General to the Office of the President of France in May 2012, alongside Emmanuel Macron.
Subsequently appointed Director-General of the CNAM he was renewed in this role in November 2019.
Nicolas Revel was appointed Director General of AP-HP on July 5, 2022.
