    Franck Mouthon, an alumnus of the École normale supérieure, spent fifteen years heading a research team at the French Atomic Energy Commission – CEA, specializing in prion diseases. In 2013, he co-founded Theranexus, a company developing new drug candidates to meet the medical needs of severe pediatric neurological diseases. At the same time, he chaired France Biotech, an association of leading players in healthcare innovation. In April 2024, he was appointed Executive Director, Health Research Programming Agency of INSERM.
