Elodie BRIENT-LITZLER

Elodie Litzler is a biomedical innovation professional with extensive experience in R&D and entrepreneurship. She started her career as a scientist within the French engineering company Bertin Technologies, working on biodetection technologies. She joined ESPCI, where she managed collaborative R&D projects and was an active participant in the launch of several start-ups such as HiFiBiO. She joined Institut Pasteur in 2015 as deputy CTO in charge of operations, where she fostered the adoption and dissemination of innovative technologies, and managed/reorganized the 150 pers. core facilities. She co-led the Ile-de-France Region's “DIM ELICIT” program, supporting entrepreneurship and industrial development emerging from academic research (budget of €3 to €5 million per year). In 2018, she became Head of Innovation Development within the Innovation Office of the Pasteur Institute, overseeing the technological innovation portfolio. She took a leading role in the genesis of Avatar Medical, a start-up born out of a technology in this portfolio, which she co-founded in 2020 with four partners based in France and the US. The company develops medical imaging software solutions for surgeons. Elodie is now COO. She oversees product development, trials and approval for a team of 20 people in France. Elodie Litzler graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Chimie Paristech, she also holds a doctorate in biochemistry from Pierre and Marie Curie University. She was nominated NextGen Leaders in 2025 by “ La French Care”.
