Auriane Cano-Chancel has been President of AstraZeneca France since 1 April 2026. In this role, she leads the strategy of the French affiliate and oversees its implementation, with a particular focus on sustainable growth, operational excellence and access to innovation.
She began her career in the pharmaceutical industry nearly fifteen years ago as Director of International Strategy and Business Development at Ipsen, following an initial experience as a strategy consultant at L.E.K. Consulting.
She joined AstraZeneca in 2014 and held a range of marketing and sales positions within the French affiliate, first in psychiatry, then in the Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism therapeutic area, before focusing on oncology.
Between 2019 and 2022, she served for three years as Global Commercial Lead for AstraZeneca’s immuno-oncology franchise in Cambridge. In this role, she worked closely with Research & Development teams on the design of molecules’ clinical development plans and defined market access strategy worldwide, working in particular with the United States, Japan, China and Europe.
Before being appointed President of AstraZeneca France, Auriane Cano-Chancel had served since 2022 as Vice President, Oncology-Haematology, AstraZeneca France, with responsibility for the division’s medical, commercial, diagnostic and innovation activities.
Auriane Cano-Chancel is a trained engineer, having graduated from École Polytechnique, and also holds an MBA in Bioscience from the University of Cambridge. She was recognised in the Choiseul 100 rankings in 2024 and 2025, as well as in the Choiseul Top 40 Santé ranking in 2024.
