Virginie BEAUMEUNIER

Virginie Beaumeunier has been Chair of the Economic Committee for Health Products since 3 February 2025. She has been Inspector-General of Finance since January 2023.



A graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies in 1989, and holder of a  Master’s degree in public law from the University of Paris II, Virginie Beaumeunier is an alumna of the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA), ‘Léon Gambetta’ cohort (1991–1993). She began her career in 1993 at the Directorate-General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF). She notably served as a technical adviser in the office of the Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industry (2000–2002)

In 2009, she was appointed General Rapporteur of the Competition Authority, a post she held until 2017. She then headed the Strategy, Steering and Budget Department at the Directorate-General for Public Finances (2017–2018). In January 2018, she was appointed Director-General of the DGCCRF, a role she held until 2023.



Virginie BEAUMEUNIER is also a Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour.
