Agnès FIRMIN LE BODO

Agnès Firmin Le Bodo, born November 20, 1968 in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime), is a French politician and pharmacist by profession.



Elected in 2017, she served for 5 years on the National Assembly’s Social Affairs Committee. She was appointed chair of the special committee tasked with examining the bioethics bill.

After joining Horizons in 2021, the political party founded by former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe, she was appointed its spokesperson in December of that same year.

She announced she would run for a second term as a deputy, and was re-elected on June 19, 2022. She sits within the Horizons group and became chair of the National Assembly’s Cultural and Education Affairs Committee.

On July 4, 2022, she was appointed by Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne as Deputy Minister for Territorial Organization and Health Professions, under François Braun, Minister of Health and Prevention, then in December 2023 became Minister of Health and Prevention.

In the course of her duties, she worked on issues such as the debate over end-of-life policy in France, environmental health, the health of healthcare professionals, violence against caregivers, and access to healthcare in France.

On February 12, 2024, she returned to the National Assembly as Deputy for Seine-Maritime.

Re-elected in July 2024, she is Vice President of the Law Committee.
