Claude ÉVIN

He began his career as a specialized educator. He entered into politics in 1977 as the Municipal Councillor and Deputy to the mayor of Saint-Nazaire. He worked as Minister of Solidarity, of Health, and of Social Welfare from 1988 until 1991, and has been the director of Ile-de-France's Regional Health Agency since its creation in April 2010. As a consultant for social and health related questions, he was a member of the Economic and Social Council, of the parliamentary Office concerning the evaluation of health policy and of the Social Security accounts Commission, as well as President of France's Hospital Federation.
