Pr. Pierre-Yves Geoffard is the director of the Paris School of Economics, director of research at CNRS and Directeur d’études at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. His research and teaching focuses on the economics of risk & insurance, economic analysis systems and health policies. Author of numerous articles in academic journals (Econometrica, American Economic Review, Biometrika, Journal of Economic Theory, International Economic Review, RAND Journal of Economics, Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics, Philosophical Transactions B, Epidemiology and Public Health,...,...).
He is also a columnist for the daily newspaper “Libération”. He was associate professor at “Ecole Polytechnique”, a visiting professor at the “University of Lausanne”, Director of the Master’s and Doctoral Program Analysis and Policy in Economics (APE) and director of UMR PSE (CNRS-EHESS-ENPC-ENS-INRA). He is also member of the National AIDS Council (France) and chairs the French Public Services Committee of the National Council for Statistical Information.
