Alric Rüther is a physician trained in Internal Medicine and Oncology. Based on his engagement in Evidence Based Medicine and Cochrane Collaboration he worked to establish and build the discipline of Health Technology Assessment in Germany. From 2007 Alric Rüther joined the Institute of Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWiG), the German HTA body, where he heads International Affairs at the moment. Alric Rüther is engaged in HTA activities worldwide including as member of the Board of the European Network for HTA (EUnetHTA) and the board of Health Technology Assessment international (HTAi).
