Gilles Bonnefond has been working as registered Pharmacist in Montelimar for 25 years.
He very soon committed himself to defending the interests of retails pharmacies. In 2001 he founded the USPO (Union of pharmacists' unions) with several departmental unions.
He has been its Secretary general and Deputy Chairman before his election as President. In 2014 he was re-elected unanimously as the head of the USPO.
In Rhône-Alpes, Gilles Bonnefond chaired the Pharmacists URPS (Regional Union of the Health Professionals) from 2010 to 2015. In 2016, he was elected Vice-president of the URPS of the new region Auvergne Rhône Alpes.
