Thomas Fatome is a graduate from HEC business school and former student of the ENA, the National School of Administration (promotion Averroès).

Thomas Fatome joined the Inspectorate for Social Affairs (IGAS) in 2000.
Between 2003 and 2005, he held the position of Technical Advisor in charge of social accounts and of the health insurance reform in the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of health.
In 2005, he was appointed Chief of staff to the General Manager of the National Health Insurance Fund (CNAM).
In 2008, he became Chief of Staff to the Ministerial Delegate for Employment, then Deputy Director to the Cabinet of the Minister of the Economy, Employment and Industry.
In 2009, Thomas Fatome became Head of department, Assistant to the Director of Social Security. He was then appointed in 2010 Advisor in charge of health, dependency and social policies at the Presidency of the Republic.
From 2012 to 2017 he was Director of Social Security then he joined the Prime Minister's office as Deputy Chief of Staff.
