France

Nurse and Doctor of Science and Engineering, Isabelle Fromantin works at the Institut Curie Paris and is a researcher in the CEpiA EA7376 Unit of the University of Paris Est Créteil. She began her career in humanitarian aid (Togo) before joining the Institut Curie where she was part of the creation of the Mobile Palliative Care Unit before opening an activity dedicated to the care of patients with complex wounds. This activity led her to develop research on infection and odor in tumor wounds, which led her a few years later to start the KDOG project. KDOG attempts to use odors (Volatile Organic Compounds - VOCs) for the early detection of breast cancer. Today, KDOG gathers several research projects (analytical chemistry, detection dog). In parallel, Isabelle Fromantin continues her clinical activity and her research on cancer-related wounds.
