Laurent Solly joined Meta, formerly Facebook, in June 2013 as Managing Director for Facebook France to head the French Global Marketing Solutions team and lead Facebook's activities in the country. In September of 2016, in addition to his role for Facebook France, Laurent Solly was named Regional Director for Southern Europe and in 2017, he was named Vice-President for Facebook.
Prior to joining Meta, Laurent Solly held several strategic positions at TF1, the leading media group in France, notably as Director of TF1’s advertising network.
As a member of the Corps Préfectoral (Prefectural Body), he held several territorial positions (Lot-et-Garonne, Var, Territoire de Belfort) before being appointed Prefect in 2006. Laurent Solly worked alongside Nicolas Sarkozy (President of France from 2007 to 2012) as his Chief-of-Staff from 2004 to 2007.
