Jean-Carles Grelier, a lawyer specialized in public law, has held numerous local positions since 2001, being Mayor of La Ferté-Bernard (72), Regional Councillor of Pays de Loire and President of the Community of Municipalities of Huisne Sarthoise.
Since 2017, he has been a deputy for the 5th district of the Sarthe, a member of the National Assembly's social affairs committee. Also a departmental councillor, he serves as Vice-Chairman of the Solidarity, Autonomy, Health Commission.
A specialist in health issues, Jean-Carles Grelier has chaired the National Assembly's study group on mental health since 2022. He is also the Rapporteur of the Mission for the examination of social security accounts on drug management policy. He was a member of the High Council on the Future of the French health insurance fund (2017-2022).
He is the author of several books and booklets.
