Prof. Rémi Salomon is a specialist in congenital kidney malformations and has been head of the pediatric nephrology department at the Necker-Enfants malades hospital since 2011. He began his career there in the early 1990s and has been coordinating a reference center for hereditary kidney diseases since 2004. He has served on the scientific direction of the IHU Imagine where he worked on the implementation of a digital warehouse "Dr Warehouse" to facilitate the exploitation for research purposes of data from patients with rare diseases. In 2016, he was elected Vice President of the "hospital life" commission of the AP-HP's medical board. He worked on the development, implementation and monitoring of a plan for the prevention of psycho-social risks, the treatment of conflicts between doctors and the management of the medical team, which has been widely adopted at the national level. He was elected president of the medical board of the AP-HP in January 2020. Since that date, in addition to the covid crisis, some of the main axes of his action have concerned participation in the Segur debates, medical and research strategy, the human resources crisis and hospital attractiveness, territorial cooperation and public health. Elected president of the Conference of the Presidents of the medical board of the university hospitals in January 2022, he brings to the attention of the supervisory authorities the analyses and proposals of the university hospital medical communities in order to face the multiple issues and challenges of the public hospital and the university hospitals, in particular concerning attractiveness, training, research, territorialization of the health system or the modernization of the mode of financing of the health institutions.
