Dr. Vizzini is a Medical Doctor and an accomplished professional in the field of International Relations. He obtained his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2001, he further specialized in Urology in 2006.
Driven by a deep passion for global cooperation, Dr. Vizzini pursued a Master in International Cooperation at the Institute of International and Strategic Relations (IRIS) in Paris, expanding his knowledge and understanding of international dynamics. His dedication to bridging the gap between science and policy led him to join UNESCO's Science Policy and Capacity Building Division in April 2007. Throughout his tenure, he has made notable progress in science communication and science education, through the design and implementation of projects funded by the European Commission.
Dr. Vizzini's activities also drew the attention of the American Association for Advancement in Sciences (AAAS), where he collaborated on projects related to science diplomacy. This collaboration further solidified his expertise in promoting scientific cooperation on an international scale.
Notably, Dr. Vizzini served as the Secretary General of the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH) from 2020 to 2022. Under his visionary leadership, the alliance thrived and made significant strides in advancing global health initiatives.
Since 2022, Dr. Vizzini has assumed the role of responsibility for institutional relations at the One Sustainable Health for All Foundation, further amplifying his impact on promoting a sustainable approach to one health practice worldwide.
With a wealth of experience and a remarkable track record in both medicine and international relations, Dr. Vizzini continues to shape the future of global health.
